Rainfresh

The Challenge:  Rainfresh P/L is a major wholesaler of quality fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, cut flowers, seedlings and water in Victoria. Our challenge was to design a refrigerated warehouse. We designed a system based a common propylene glycol system with a single Air cooled chiller, 3,000 litre insulated buffer tank, duty and standby glycol pumps, duty and standby glycol tempering pumps for the Receivables and Picking Rooms and Ceiling hung air coolers for all rooms.

The Outcome:  A refrigerated warehouse was successfully built. We designed a refrigeration system based a common propylene glycol system with a single Air cooled chiller, 3,000 litre insulated buffer tank, duty and standby glycol pumps, duty and standby glycol tempering pumps for the Receivables and Picking Rooms and Ceiling hung air coolers for all rooms and ultrasonic humidification for coolroom 1 and 2. It can cool to -3°C with an ambient temperature of 40°C. This will assist Rainfresh to deliver quality, fresh produce to leading metropolitan and regional Victorian supermarkets.
